What is roadside assistance?
Roadside assistance is an optional extra on your car insurance
policy. It provides you with cover if your vehicle breaks down, you get a flat tyre or run out of petrol/diesel. Should this be the case, Stroll Insurance can arrange to send a qualified mechanic who will fix your vehicle or tow you to the nearest garage.
What is breakdown cover or breakdown insurance?
Breakdown cover in the UK and Northern Ireland is an optional add-on to your existing insurance policy. It’s an extra layer of protection that covers you in the event you break down during a trip and need assistance. Should this be the case, a qualified mechanic will be sent to your location.
How much is breakdown cover?
With Stroll Insurance, you can avail of vehicle breakdown cover or roadside assistance for as little as £30 for a full year of cover.
Do I need breakdown cover?
Although this insurance cover isn’t a legal requirement, unlike third-party insurance, it does offer you support and protection if your vehicle breaks down in the middle of a journey.
What is home start breakdown cover?
Home start breakdown cover is similar to roadside assistance only it covers you for when you need help at home rather than out on the road.
Does claiming Roadside Assistance affect my No Claims Bonus (NCB)?
